We’ll likely see a whole new pack of wallpapers out of iOS 10 near the last beta before its release this fall, and macOS 10.12 Sierra may pick up another wallpaper. The official iOS 9 wave wallpaper extracted from the beta release is in its full 2,706 x 2,706 resolution, and can be use as a background for your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. You could also use it on your Mac, but make sure to choose either 'Center' or 'Fill Screen' on the Desktop settings. Earlier today, during Apple’s WWDC 2015 media event, the Cupertino company announced software updates to iOS, OS X, and watchOS. As with previous software updates, Apple always highlights a new title wallpaper for the announcement.

From your device, link to the full resolution image by tapping the individual images. When the new window opens, tap the Safari Extensions icon in the bottom area of your browser, (it looks like a box with an up arrow sticking out of it), and tap “Save image” to save the image to your Photo Library.
From your desktop computer, link to the full resolution image by clicking the image. Right-click and save the image to your iTunes photo sync folder.

After you’ve saved all of the wallpapers you’d like to use, open the Photos app on your iPhone and move the new images to the album you use to share images with you Apple Watch. Now you can go to your Apple Watch, select the new wallpaper as a watch face, and customize it to your heart’s content. If you do download several of the wallpapers and move them to your Watch, you can even set them to rotate between them each time you view your watch face!

From your Mac, click your mouse pointer on one of the images. When the full-sized image appears in your browser, right-click or CTRL-Click on the image, and click on “Save Image As…” to save the image to your Mac’s hard drive.
Now, right-click or CTRL-click on your desktop, and select “Change DesktopBackground…” In the Desktop & Screen Saver dialog box that appears, click the “+” button at the bottom of the left panel. Navigate to the directory you saved the wallpaper in, and double-click the wallpaper filename.
Or, as reader Biff Bifferson pointed out, you can just right click on the image in the browser and click “Set As Desktop Background.” That both changes the desktop AND saves the image.

With Apple’s release of the iOS 10.2 beta 1 yesterday, we also finally got to see the release of those iPhone 7 and 7 Plus wallpapers that have been used in all of their marketing images lately. Many readers had wondered themselves why the wallpapers were missing in the final releases of iOS 10 and even iOS 10.1, but we’re just glad they’re finally here today. iOS 10.2’s new wallpapers look to be only available on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, but we’ve gone ahead and extracted them from the beta and added them below for all to enjoy.
Though no other wallpapers have been discovered yet, iOS 10.2 beta 1 includes three new wallpapers not previously available. Simply named Droplet Blue, Droplet Red, and Droplet Yellow, each wallpaper has square dimensions to allow for space when selecting the ‘Perspective’ wallpaper setting.
